"The location was in the historical centre and was perfect for strolling out to explore the centre. The history of the apartment was incredible and the decor was in keeping with its history. Beautifully done. A small verandah was perfect for eating out on whilst overlooking neighbouring buildings."

"Caution, as quite a few flights of uneven stairs (original worn stone stairs) to carry suitcases up. But even then the staircase was amazing when you consider its history."

"We had THE BEST experience staying at Les Suites Sarladaises. From the beautiful, historic building in the heart of Sarlat - close to everything you want to see in the city - to our very comfortable room, we fell in love with this place. The host is also extremely nice and gave us very instructive tips from sightseeing to the best restos ... etc. You really do feel like a prince staying here! My fiancée absolutely adored it too."

"Will thought out apartment, very clean and kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast. Air conditioning was great. Our host had a welcome pack of bread, coffee, tea, local juice and jams. The apartment is in the heart of the town and close to fantastic restaurants. Our host recommended excellent restaurants and activities in the area. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. Super location and house of real character."

"Historic, charming, close to town. The apt was very well appointed. Bed was comfortable."

"No parking or ability to drop your bags from car into building because you cant drive to the bldg. we had a-lot of luggage which had to be carried one at a time and I’m partially disabled. Description says 1st floor which in usa would mean second floor. I had trouble with stairs. Our hostess was not knowledgeable about free parking areas or restaurants. She also said we had to leave at 9. Checkout is 10. She showed up early to collect keys and we were still packing. We didn’t understand why we had to take our garbage to the dump when they have cleaners come in. We couldn’t find the cans."

"Pretty much everything. Large, comfortable suite with balcony in heart of town. Beautiful furnishings, comfortable bed, fine living room with fireplace and a pair of couches and a nice dining are, complete with candelabra. Modern kitchen belied the fact that the place was 17th century. Stone stairs in public hall were a little worn after hundreds of years worth of wear, but that only added to the charm."

"Not much. I couldn't figure out how to use the dishwasher. Parking was challenging, but that's the town, not the apartment. It was on a hill which made it easy to leave, but a bit of a challenge coming home after a night of eating and drinking. But these are extremely minor issues and almost not worth mentioning."
